Data Science for Public Managers

Public organizations have historically been dependent upon external vendors to build the tools to collect, analyze, and report data in order to embrace performance management practices. This e-study presents background information on modern performance systems, then introduces new open-source software that is being used to build data tools and dashboards that greatly enhance an organization’s capacity to effectively deploy a data-driven and performance-oriented approach to management.
